Although we cannot meet in large groups because of COVID-19, our church is not closed! We have online worship, Bible studies, and prayer groups. We are also developing new ministries to make sure you get everything you need to grow spiritually and to empower you to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the most vulnerable in our community. The church is not a building but the people of God working together for the mission of Jesus, and we will continue to serve this mission in new and creative ways through the pandemic. I was so tired of running from my problems. Failed relationships, bad choices, and worse. I considered going to church, but thought, 'If they really knew me they’d never accept me.' But guess what? I was wrong. I was accepted. Most importantly, I found forgiveness from God. I feel like a ton of bricks has been lifted off my shoulders, and while I am not proud of my past I don’t have to run away from it anymore. I am walking toward my future, and I’ve realized that I don’t have to walk alone.

At First United Methodist Church of Cocoa Beach (FUMCCB) we believe that God meets us where we are. Come as you are and find love, forgiveness, healing, and a fresh start. As we share life together and make new friends, we discover a safe place to deeply connect with God, honestly wrestle with difficult questions, and find our next steps along life's journey. Instead of a minister with dollar signs in his eyes preaching fire and brimstone, you’ll meet a caring pastor who has felt the pain of mistakes and broken relationships. Rather than shaming people into following a list of rules, Pastor Mark shares God's love in ways that speak to real people with real problems who need real solutions.
