Sunday Contemporary 9:30am
I was so tired of running from my problems. Failed relationships, bad choices, and worse. I considered going to church, but thought, 'If they really knew me they’d never accept me.' But guess what? I was wrong. I was accepted. Most importantly, I found forgiveness from God. I feel like a ton of bricks has been lifted off my shoulders, and while I am not proud of my past I don’t have to run away from it anymore. I am walking toward my future, and I’ve realized that I don’t have to walk alone.
At First United Methodist Church of Cocoa Beach (FUMCCB) we believe that God meets us where we are. You don't have to get your act together or clean-up your life before seeking God or coming to church. Come as you are and find love, forgiveness, healing, and a fresh start. As we share life together and make new friends, we discover a safe place to deeply connect with God, honestly wrestle with difficult questions, and find our next steps along life's journey. Instead of a minister with dollar signs in his eyes preaching fire and brimstone, you’ll meet a caring pastor who has felt the pain of mistakes and broken relationships. Rather than shaming people into following a list of rules, Pastor Mark shares God's love in ways that speak to real people with real problems who need real solutions. We hope you’ll explore all that we have to offer and join us this weekend.
To learn and practice the teachings of Jesus in ways that create communities of love.
